KARATE INTERNATIONAL MULTI STYLE SEMINAR
NOVEMBER 2007 - LEEDS
On Saturday 17th November 2007 over 70 students attend the Karate International multi style seminar in Leeds.
The seminar gives students of all ages and grades the chance to train in other styles or martial arts systems not taught at their own club. This helps the students to develop their own martial skills outside of the "style" and to maintain an open mind to training.
On the day the following instructors where in attendance.
Sensei Peter Clarke 6th Dan Jiu Jitsu
Sensei Martin Wilson 5th dan Kick Boxing
Sensei Grant Naylor 5th Dan Kick Boxing
Sensei Jim McClelland 4th Dan Kick Boxing / Self defence
Sensei Mark Williams 3rd dan Shotokan
Sensei Nick Beech 2nd Dan Shotokan Karate & Okinawan Kobudo
At the end of the day Sensei Peter Clarke was officially awarded his 6th dan certificate that Sensei Steve Leak had collected for him the previous week at another ceremony and Sensei Jim McClelland was awarded his long overdue 4th Dan.
All those that attend enjoyed the day and participated in the true spirit of the martial arts. Lots of new friends where made and new ideas learnt. We will be holding another open seminar in February 2008. Anyone wishing details should contact Steve Leak on 0113 2735156 or by email at steveleak2001@yahoo.com
